This is about the Cover of the newly released Jan-March 2011 issue of The CALL. What is so significant about this Cover?
The base image of the Cross is that of the GEMS Church in Navalpur, Nepal. The background is not the result of any special effect but the natural early morning skyline. This picture was taken by Bro. Selva, a missionary in GEMS, Bihar. (He is recovering from a major surgery; to pray for him visit - Prayer Request_Feb 2011)
The girl on the left an University Student then, committing herself to the Lord’s Call while attending a GEMS STORM (STudents Out Reach Ministries) meeting. This issue carries an article on STORM.
The girl on the right with folded hands is from the village Amri Tola and is at the verge of being pushed into prostitution. To know more about this village and the rehabilitation and community transformation work done here by GEMS read the ‘Standing @ the GAP’ article in this issue.
The stories of these people are one of a struggle, but they do not loose heart because they know they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them and victoriously declare, “We Can, With Christ”. The main article is written on this title & theme by Bro. D. Augustine Jebakumar in the column ‘From Bihar With Love’.
